Telecommunications Retail Sales Specialist

Buderim Communications is seeking a Telecommunications Retail Sales Specialist to join our team in Buderim, QLD. This is a full-time position based at our store on Burnett St. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and delivering exceptional service to our customers, helping them find the right telecommunications solutions for their needs. This position is central to our mission of providing quality service and building lasting customer relationships in the local community.

What you’ll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and professionally, understanding their telecommunications needs and requirements
- Presenting and demonstrating Telstra's products and services with enthusiasm and expertise
- Providing accurate information about Telstra's mobile plans, broadband services, and other telecommunications offerings
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling
- Maintaining product knowledge and staying informed about current promotions, pricing, and service offerings
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly
- Contributing to a positive store environment and supporting team colleagues
- Achieving individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining service quality
- Assisting with stock management, merchandising, and store presentation

What we’re looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience,



preferably in a Telstra Store or a similar retail telecommunications environment
- Strong sales ability with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
- Product knowledge or willingness to quickly learn about telecommunications services and products
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Flexibility to work retail hours
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑focused mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent customer service
