ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Coordinator Financial Excellence will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our finance function, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this strategic leadership position is responsible for driving finance transformation initiatives across systems, processes, reporting, governance and capability development. They will identify and deliver impactful improvement opportunities, champion automation and innovation, strengthen financial governance and lead change initiatives that enhance service delivery and business outcomes across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader who thrives on influencing change, partnering with stakeholders and delivering measurable business improvements. Working across the organisation, they will lead complex projects, build capability within teams and help create a modern,
high-performing finance function that supports Council's strategic objectives and long-term success.
Essential to this role is degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, Project Management or a related discipline together with demonstrated experience leading large-scale business improvement, transformation or organisational change programs.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and influential leader with strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of driving organisational change and influencing business decision-making.
This position is offered on a Term contract, Full time basis working 35 hours per week for 12 months. Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 14 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $117,217 - $126,986 per annum plus superannuation.
