Kartel Cabinets is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker and Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position based in Boondall, QLD 4034, where you will be responsible for both the crafting and installation of high-quality cabinets for our diverse clientele. This role is integral to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the cabinet-making industry.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate cabinets and custom woodwork using precision tools and machinery in accordance with design specifications and industry standards
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials to create high-quality cabinet components
- Install cabinets at customer properties, ensuring proper alignment, secure fitting and professional presentation
- Take accurate measurements and conduct site assessments prior to fabrication and installation
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools in safe, clean and functional condition
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices throughout all work activities
- Quality check finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations
- Provide professional customer service during installations and address any client concerns or queries
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker 5 plus years - Certificate III in Cabinetmaking or Equivalent
- Knowledge of timber types, materials, joinery techniques and finishing methods
- Ability to read and interpret design plans, technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Excellent measuring and mathematical skills to ensure precise fabrication and installation
- Physical capability to lift, carry and install heavy cabinet components safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering work of the highest quality
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
- Current knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites for installation work
