Virtual Joinery is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis at our Somersby, NSW facility. This role is fundamental to our production operations, where you will operate and maintain specialised machinery to produce high-quality joinery products. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to the quality and delivery of our products to customers.

Key responsibilities

- Operate industrial machinery and equipment used in joinery manufacturing, following standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Set up machines according to production specifications and job requirements, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate output
- Monitor machine performance during operation, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or anomalies
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal functionality and longevity
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications, reporting any defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required
- Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing or a related industry, preferably in joinery, woodworking, or similar production environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical specifications and blueprints
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, computerised systems, or similar industrial equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality output




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Sound understanding of health and safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
- Physical capability to perform duties including lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Valid qualifications or certifications in machinery operation (preferred but not essential)
- Reliability and punctuality with strong communication skills
