As a Driver Specialist, you will be responsible for operating, supervising, and managing Army B vehicles across various terrains and road conditions – both day and night. From transporting cargo and hazardous materials, to personnel, your role will be essential in supporting critical Defence operations. You’ll take on an autonomous position where you’ll have the opportunity to manage your time, resources, and daily tasks with precision and professionalism.
Selected Duties:
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and facilities are prepared and ready before the start of each task.
- Operate vehicles in compliance with NHVR, local laws, safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain punctuality and high standards of dress and professionalism.
- Report accidents and incidents promptly.
- Comply with all relevant codes of conduct and health & safety guidelines.

Essential:
- Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
- Transport industry experience.
- Heavy Rigid Licence.
- Obtain and maintain a Victorian Working with Children Check.
Desirable
- Experience in transporting dangerous goods.
- Heavy Combination Licence.
- Experience operating larger capacity forklifts.
- Familiarity with load restraint systems (Twist locks, tie-downs, Chains and binders).
- Current high-risk forklift Licence (LF).
