Lohman Contracting is seeking an experienced surveyor to join our team on a major roadworks and concrete structures project based in Emerald, QLD. This is a FIFO position departing from Brisbane, working a 14:7 roster.
You’ll be responsible for set-out and as-constructed survey pickup across civil roadworks and concrete structure elements, along with processing survey data and generating as-conformance reports to support project quality and handover documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform set-out survey for roadworks, drainage, and concrete structures in line with design documentation
Undertake as-constructed pickup and verification survey across all project elements
Process raw survey data and produce accurate as-conformance reports
Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and quality personnel to ensure survey outputs support ITP requirements and hold/witness point sign-off
Maintain survey equipment, calibration records, and site survey control
Ensure survey deliverables align with relevant design and MRTS/TMR standards
Support quality documentation and NCR close-out where survey discrepancies are identified
About You
Demonstrated experience as a Surveyor on civil construction projects (roadworks and concrete structures experience highly regarded)
Proficiency with total station and Trimble business center
Experience producing as-constructed and as-conformance reporting for civil projects
Working knowledge of TMR/DTMR standards and specifications (highly regarded)
Current driver's licence / white card
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Robust attention to detail and ability to work autonomously on a remote site
Positive attitude and ability to integrate into a close-knit FIFO team environment
