About the Role

The Communications & Engagement Officer delivers Bidgerdii's marketing, communications andcommunity engagement activities, promoting our services and strengtheningconnections with the community. Reporting to the Marketing & CommunicationsTeam Leader, you will work collaboratively across the organisation to developengaging content, coordinate communication campaigns and support communityengagement initiatives that reflect Bidgerdii's values.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinate and deliver marketing and communications campaigns
- Develop engaging content for social media, website, newsletters and internal communications
- Manage Bidgerdii's day-to-day social media presence and digital communications
- Coordinate community events, stakeholder engagement activities and health promotioninitiatives.
- Prepare media releases, promotional materials and organisational communications
- Maintain website content and communication calendars




- Monitor digital engagement and provide campaign reporting
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure communications are culturallyappropriate, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities

About You

You are values-driven and passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal andTorres Strait Islander communities.

You will bring:

- Qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media, Public Relations or related discipline (orequivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in content development and campaign coordination
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital content
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of culturally appropriate communication practices
- Experience in the health or community sector
- Experience supporting behaviour change campaigns
- Familiarity with digital analytics tools

Requirements

Current QLD C Class Driver Licence

Current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain

Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check

Willingness to attend occasional community events outside standard business hours
