Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to managers and team leaders, providing practical HR guidance across a broad range of people-related matters.
This is a true generalist role encompassing employee relations, performance management, recruitment support, learning and development, and health and safety initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
- Coaching leaders on performance management and employee development
- Supporting disciplinary, conduct and performance processes
- Assisting with HR policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinating employee onboarding, inductions and training programmes
- Processing fortnightly payroll and responding to payroll queries
- Supporting health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
- Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting
About You:
- 2+ years' experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist position
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Law or a related discipline
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
- Experience managing employee relations matters
- Payroll administration experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Experience supporting operational, blue-collar or field-based workforces will be highly regarded.
