Sport Integrity Australia are looking to fill the role of Assistant Director, Law Enforcement Partnership Program - Executive Level 1.

About the role

The Assistant Director, Law Enforcement Partnership Program is responsible for engagement, collaboration and coordination with law enforcement and other regulatory bodies for Sport Integrity Australia. Our law enforcement partners include Commonwealth and State and Territory jurisdictional law enforcement and intelligence agencies. The primary purpose of the role is to cultivate and enhance strategic relationships with law enforcement partners to support the protection and integrity of Australian sport. The role is responsible for the connection between sporting organisations and law enforcement agencies to prevent and respond to integrity threats in sport.

Note: Whilst conducting their core duties, the Assistant Director, Law Enforcement Partnership Program, will be exposed to content that may be confronting or distressing. This includes hearing and reading content that relates to child abuse concerns, racial or sexual violence. To support the psychological safety of our staff, Sport Integrity Australia provides mental health wellbeing support including access to EAP counselling services.

The duties of the Assistant Director, Law Enforcement Partnership Program include, but are not limited to:

- foster the network of partnerships, including through memorandum of understandings (MOUs), with law enforcement nationally, internationally, and other partners
- collaborate across law enforcement, intelligence, and sport to identify threats to sport integrity; use of drugs and/or doping, competition manipulation,



the abuse of children and others in a sporting environment and failure to protect members of sporting organisations, with a view to shaping collaborative proactive strategies and targeted operational actions
- contribute to enhancing Sport Integrity Australia's capabilities including improving SIA’s awareness and connection with law enforcement partners
- providing law enforcement expertise to strengthen agency advice, guidance and support for sporting organisations
- enhance and improve processes around referrals and communication with law enforcement agencies
- maintain a high level of knowledge of relevant to the identification, prevention, and response to sport integrity threats
- lead and manage a small high-performing team responsible for delivering stakeholder liaison, intelligence and information-sharing services

The key accountabilities of the Assistant Director, Law Enforcement Partnership Program include, but are not limited to:

- establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders in law enforcement, sports and government
- ensuring agency operations, policies and stakeholder engagement activities are informed by law enforcement expertise and aligned with contemporary best practice
- ensuring compliance with the Sport Integrity Australia Act 2020 and Sport Integrity Australia Regulations 2020
- complying with all relevant legislation and Sport Integrity Australia work health and safety policies, procedures and instructions and Sport Integrity Australia ICT,



Record Keeping Policy and Information Governance Framework
- ensuring the APS Values and Code of Conduct are adhered to all times

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate their capability against the Work Level Standards. The selection criteria of this role include:

- Demonstrated experience building and sustaining strategic partnerships across law enforcement environments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice and influence stakeholders in complex operating environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of information sharing, governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience leading teams and delivering outcomes in a complex operational environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
