The Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and lead the delivery of our end-to-end payroll function. This varied role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement, and will see you:

Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the full payroll function.

Maintain a sound understanding of current Payroll and Award legislation, remuneration benefits, and taxation requirements.

Check and pay internal commissions, maintain accurate account balances, and prepare payroll and commission-related month-end journals and adjustments.

Calculate, report, and pay PAYG Withholding and Payroll Tax obligations.

Complete annual payroll requirements, including QLeave, Payroll Tax Annual Returns, Taxable Payments Reporting, PAYG reconciliations, and year-end audit support.

Resolve payroll enquiries accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring employee files and records are maintained.

Drive payroll process improvements and provide support across Accounts Payable, finance, and administration functions.

The Person

Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.

Demonstrated experience managing superannuation, salary sacrifice, and employee contributions.

Strong understanding of payroll functions within a multi-entity environment, with sound PAYG knowledge and financial acumen.

Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Intermediate Excel skills and experience with Jobpac (highly regarded)
