We are seeking an experienced and motivated Laser Cutting Production Supervisor to lead our laser processing team and oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of our laser cutting equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily production activities, coordinating workflow, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the laser cutting department. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the laser cutting production team.
Coordinate daily production schedules to achieve customer delivery targets.
Monitor machine performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Ensure all laser cutting operations meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Train, mentor, and develop operators to maximize performance and capability.
Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams to achieve targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and equipment up time.
Monitor departmental KPIs, labour utilisation,
and production performance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5+ years previous experience in laser cutting or sheet metal manufacturing.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong understanding of CNC laser cutting machinery and production processes.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet production deadlines.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in laser cutting and running a laser cutting team
Trade qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or a related field desirable.
Experience with production planning and workflow management.
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience (desirable).
Forklift licence (advantageous).
