Coast Transitional Support

Gosford

Casual | Flexible Hours | Central Coast & Surrounding Areas

Join a team that believes support is a partnership.

At Coast Transitional Support, we believe that every person has the right to live a meaningful life, pursue their goals, and make decisions about the supports they receive. We are a registered NDIS provider with more than 25 years of combined experience across the disability and mental health sectors.

Guided by our values ofConnection, Responsibility, Growth, Innovation, and Excellence, we provide recovery-focused, strengths-based, and person-centred supports that empower people to build independence, strengthen wellbeing, and actively participate in their communities. We believe the best outcomes are achieved through genuine relationships, collaboration, and a commitment to seeing people beyond diagnosis.

At Coast Transitional Support, we don't just provide support, we work alongside people to help them achieve the life they choose.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our growing team. This is a casual position with flexible hours and the prospect to build toward consistent or full-time work.

You will support NDIS participants with a range of disability and mental health support needs, helping them build independence, connect with their community, and work towards the goals that matter most to them. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in providing practical support while encouraging confidence, resilience, and meaningful participation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support participants with activities of daily living, including personal care where required.
- Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Encourage and facilitate community participation, social connection, and engagement in meaningful activities.
- Support participants to develop independent living skills and work towards their NDIS goals.
- Provide transport to appointments, shopping, recreational activities, and community events.

- Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, and the broader support team.
- Complete accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reporting in line with organisational policies.
- Promote participant rights, dignity, privacy, and choice and control in all aspects of support.
- Maintain professional boundaries and deliver supports in accordance with the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy working alongside others and who share our commitment to recovery-oriented and person-centred practice. The right person will be empathetic, adaptable, and able to build authentic relationships while supporting participants to achieve their own goals.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be compassionate, reliable, and able to build genuine relationships.
- Respect the rights, choices, and individuality of every participant.
- Work well independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and robust communication skills.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, Individual Support, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability, mental ill-health, intellectual disability, or complex support needs.
- An understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centred practice.

Why Join Coast Transitional Support?

- Supportive, family-run and values-driven organisation.
- Versatile working arrangements with opportunities for growth.
- Ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development.
- Be part of a team that genuinely makes a difference in people's lives.
