We're looking for a proven excavator and grader operator to join our team
Howe Farming Enterprises is one of Far North Queensland's largest diversified agricultural operations with eight crop types, and a significant farming area that needs shaping, digging and grading. We're after an experienced Excavator and Grader Operator who takes real pride in their work and will be a reliable member of the team. This isn't a "learn on the job" role, we need someone who's already comfortable in the seat and ready to hit the ground running.
What you'll be doing:
- Running excavators and graders, think drainage, laser leveling, farm road maintenance and earthworks across our properties
- Ready to jump on other machinery when needed
- Monitor machine operations and report any malfunctions or irregularities
- Doing your own basic maintenance and keeping your machine clean and ready to go
- Working safely, working smart and keeping good records of what you've done
- Being part of a crew that backs each other up and collaborates to improve workflow and efficiency
What you bring:
- Solid hands-on experience operating excavators and graders is essential
- A mechanical eye and attention for detail, you notice when something's not quite right before it becomes a problem
- Fitness for physical outdoor work and the FNQ climate
- Flexibility around hours when the season demands it
- Relevant licences/tickets highly regarded
