NDJ Group is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Waterproofing Trainees. This is an exciting full-time traineeship opportunity based in Brisbane, QLD, offering the chance to learn a valuable trade in the building and construction industry. As a Waterproofing Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop practical skills in waterproofing systems and techniques, gaining hands-on experience on real construction projects. This role is integral to our operations, as waterproofing is a critical component of building construction that protects structures from water damage and extends their longevity.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting experienced waterproofing specialists with the application of waterproofing membranes, coatings and sealants to buildings and structures
- Learning to prepare surfaces, including cleaning, priming and repairing damaged areas prior to waterproofing application
- Assisting with the installation of waterproofing systems on roofs, wet areas, balconies, foundations and other building components
- Undertaking site preparation, including scaffolding setup and safety protocols
- Learning to use and maintain waterproofing tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Following building codes, safety regulations and quality standards on all project work
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Supporting the team with general labouring duties and site tidying
- Attending on-the-job training and formal classroom-based instruction as part of your apprenticeship programme

What we're looking for

- School leavers or candidates with minimal experience seeking to begin a career in the building trades
- A genuine interest in learning waterproofing techniques and building construction methods
- Strong work ethic,



reliability and commitment to completing your traineeship
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely on construction sites
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual work in various weather conditions
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills throughout your apprenticeship
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain one
- A clear criminal history and satisfactory background check
