The Chance:

Centacare Catholic Early Learning and Care (CELC) is seeking an experienced and values-driven Nominated Supervisor to lead one of its early learning services in the Cairns region.

This is an opportunity for a capable leader who enjoys supporting educators, building strong relationships with families and creating a centre environment where children, staff and families feel welcome, supported and connected.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and broader leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service while maintaining a positive culture, high standards and ensuring quality outcomes for children and families.

As Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the service, including:

- Leading and supporting a team of educators, teachers and support staff
- Creating a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Building trusted relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Driving quality improvement initiatives and supporting best-practice service delivery
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and National Quality Standards
- Overseeing enrolments, rosters, administration and operational requirements
- Championing child safety, wellbeing and inclusion across all areas of the service
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children and families

Your Skills & Experience:

You are an experienced early childhood leader who enjoys mentoring teams,



building strong community connections and creating environments where both children and educators can thrive.

You will bring:

- Relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications, including an ACECQA-approved qualification
- Leadership experience within an early learning, kindergarten or outside school hours care environment
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate and develop others
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills
- A genuine commitment to child safety, professionalism and continuous improvement
- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or the ability to obtain them
