Resource Accommodation Management (RAM) owns and operates a mining accommodation village and two motels in Moranbah, Queensland. We have a total of 250 rooms, and are upgrading and refreshing our facilities.
We are seeking a skilled and competent Maintenance Manager to coordinate maintenance at the site. It is not necessary to have a trade for this role, but to be comfortable across a range of trades, however a carpentry background would be a positive fit.
This is a key role which forms part of the senior management team on the site. A maintenance utility on a 5/2 roster reports to this role.
The Manager will report to the Village Manager and carry out the following duties.
carry out daily reactive maintenance tasks including attending to issues like door locks, dripping taps, air conditioners problems, bathroom fans and similar. Reported problems get checked out first and we may escape if we need a tradesperson to respond.
manage trades contractors when they are called in for plumbing,
electrical or refrigeration repairs for safety and quality management.
Manage the repainting program and the on-site painter.
Coordinate planned maintenance including statutory checks across fire equipment, testing and tagging and backflow prevention.
Manage quarterly kitchen appliance maintenance and check by a third party and address issues raised in their reports.
Manage landscaping and reticulation at the sites.
Coordinating the many upgrade projects at the site - eg Wifi installation, restaurant refurbishment.
Waste management across the site including recycling.
This role can be FIFO, DIDO or residential, depending on the preference of the successful candidate.
