An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of early learning services across the Newcastle and Hunter region.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing leaders, improving operational performance and supporting high-quality outcomes across multiple services. Working alongside a collaborative executive team, you will have the autonomy to lead your portfolio and influence meaningful outcomes.
Opportunity
As Area Manager, you will provide operational leadership and strategic support across multiple early learning services, ensuring quality outcomes for children, families and educators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and mentor Centre Managers and leadership teams
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, compliance and operations
- Support services through Assessment and Rating and Quality Improvement Plans
- Monitor occupancy, financial performance and operational KPIs
- Build strong relationships with families, centre teams and local communities
- Support recruitment, workforce planning and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Regulations
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and child safety
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational objectives
What We Offer
- Competitive salary package of $120,000 to $150,000 plus super, depending on experience, plus petrol and tolls covered for work-related travel

About You
You will have:
- Previous Area Manager or multi-site leadership experience within Early Childhood Education and Care
- ACECQA approved Diploma or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- Demonstrated experience coaching and developing Centre Managers and leadership teams
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and National Regulations
- Experience supporting Assessment and Rating processes
- Financial and operational management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
