As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating an organisation’s purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services. The position reports to the Senior Procurement Officer & Deputy Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Finding synergies and standardising needs where possible to source widely.Preparing Tender invitations as per the Joint Venture process and launching tenders
- Developing Tender analysis and negotiation strategy
- Participating in technical and commercial interviews with short-listed vendors
- Negotiating to obtain the best conditions and fit the budget.
- Recommendation to the Production team and management
- Preparing and reviewing contracts
- Contract execution follow-up
- Helping to prepare KPIs and updating the database
- Organise local purchases for the project
- Establishes all the documents necessary to ensure efficient purchasing
- Participates in consultation with suppliers.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Management, Purchase, Procurement
- Previous qualified experience in procurement
- Excellent relationship skills
- Methodical and meticulous with common sense
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to critique, recommend and implement initiatives that seek efficiencies either from a process or systems perspective
