About the Role

The Early Learning Education Assistant supports young students in our junior school by helping to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, supporting children's learning and development, preparing educational resources, and encouraging students to build confidence, independence, and social skills through play-based and structured learning experiences.

We're currently recruiting for a range of part-time roles and the opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team.

As part of this role, you will be required to:

- Assistchildren individually or in small groups to help themcomplete tasksand reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
- Discuss assigned duties with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
- Participate in regular planning meetings focusing on individual students.
- Instruct andmonitorstudents in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
- Organise and supervise games and other recreational activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
- Distribute teaching materials, such as textbooks, workbooks, papers, and pencils to students.
- Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations.

About You





You are a confident and organised Early Learning Professional who enjoys creating engaging experiences for children. You bring a practical, hands‑on approach and a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

You will demonstrate:

- Experience in early childhood, school age care or a similar child-focused setting
- The ability to develop positive relationships with students and foster their social and emotional development
- Robust understanding of child safety, supervision and safeguarding practices
- Relevant experience working with young children who have special and/oradditionalneeds
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Demonstrated skills in active listening, instructing, social perceptiveness, learning strategies, critical thinking, and service orientation
- Apassion for improvinglearning outcomes for all students.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care, or similar (or working towards)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP)
- National Police Check or willingness to obtain
- Current HLTAID012 First Aid qualification in an Education and Care Setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- You will also be required to undertake Child Safety training prior to commencement.
