Keystone Environmental is a specialist consultancy provide evidence‑based assessments, clear reporting, and practical guidance to help clients understand and resolve issues relating to mould, water damage, air quality, hazardous materials, and other indoor environmental risks.
Our team works across residential, commercial, insurance, and government sectors, delivering high‑quality technical assessments supported by strong scientific principles and industry best practice. With continued growth across Queensland and Northern NSW, we are looking for an Indoor Environmental Consultant to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on consulting role involving field inspections, sampling, client communication, and technical reporting. You’ll work across a diverse range of projects including:
- Healthy home inspections for mould, dampness, and water damage
- Insurance‑based water loss and microbial assessments
- Clandestine drug laboratory and methamphetamine contamination assessments
- Fire and smoke damage assessments
- Indoor air quality and potable water quality testing
- Technical report writing and client advisory work
You’ll be supported by senior consultants and provided with structured training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. The role includes travel across Queensland and Northern NSW, with occasional interstate work.
About You
You may be early in your career or already working in environmental, building, or occupational hygiene fields. What matters most is your professionalism, curiosity, and commitment to high‑quality work.
You will bring:
- Strong English literacy and clear written communication
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence conducting fieldwork and interacting with clients
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- An attitude to learn
Highly regarded qualifications and experience include:
- Knowledge of building systems, construction materials, and moisture behaviour
- Completed Residential Building Inspector
- W201 or W203 (Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene)
- Mould Testing Technician certification (NAT10913005)
- Tertiary qualification in occupational hygiene, environmental science, building science, or a related field
- Experience in mould, bacteria, or water damage remediation
- Experience with asbestos assessments (Class B)
