Field Service Diesel Mechanic

Mobile Plant | Full-Time | Service Truck Provided

ACE Rental is seeking an experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team based in Yatala, servicing Southeast Queensland.

If you are trade qualified and confident working independently on mobile plant equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and expanding hire company with a strong reputation in the civil and construction sectors.

With over 20 years of industry experience, ACE Rental operates a fleet of more than 200 low-hour machines servicing Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. We specialise in operated and self-operated hire equipment and are committed to maintaining high equipment uptime and reliability for our clients.

The Role

This is a mobile field service position responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet across SEQ.

You will be provided with:

1. Fully equipped service truck

2. Company phone

3. Laptop

4. Overtime opportunities

Key responsibilities include:

1. On-site diagnostics, servicing and breakdown repairs

2. Preventative maintenance of earthmoving and construction equipment

3. Fault finding and repairs on excavators, loaders,



rollers and related plant

4. Supporting customers with prompt and professional service

5. Maintaining accurate service records

Skills and Experience

1. Trade qualification – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent)

2. Proven experience in a Field Service role

3. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

4. Experience with Hitachi, Caterpillar or John Deere highly regarded

5. Experience with truck and trailer servicing advantageous

6. Current driver’s licence (HR preferred)

7. White Card

8. Full Australian working rights

9. Strong work ethic and qualified attitude
