The role :
As a new graduate physiotherapist your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at helping your clients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall physical well-being. There is a great mix of both one-on-one and group classes within the roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and apply sound clinical reasoning skills in the diagnosis of a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
- Create tailored treatment plans to address client’s conditions, taking into account their age, fitness levels and any other medical conditions
- Apply a range of physiotherapy techniques to address discovered conditions
- Develop rapport with clients to build a relationship of trust and mutual respect
- Create and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing qualified publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
- Communicate openly and professionally with staff at all levels, including other therapists, administrators, directors, nurses, doctors and care staff
Required competencies
- Formal qualifications as a physiotherapist
- Full registration with Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional documentation and caseload management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Sound clinical reasoning, skills and knowledge
- A passion for your work
