The opportunity to join our team
We are seeking 2 Senior Associate Advisers (SAA) to play a pivotal role in our service delivery strategy at Shadforth, based in Hobart. As an SAA, you will manage advisory needs of existing clients while supporting the growth of recent client relationships. You will be mentored to progress into a Private Wealth Adviser.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership and accountability for new and existing client business, including preparation and delivery of advice
- Provide high-quality personal wealth management advice, ensuring clients are well‑informed
- Identify and address additional client needs promptly and effectively
- Meet minimum Service Standards and manage client expectations within specified timelines
- Support fellow SAAs during absence and contribute to team training, mentorship and workload allocation
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in an Associate Adviser or Paraplanner role
- Solid understanding of tax, superannuation, retirement income streams, investments, and social security
- Sound experience with XPLAN financial planning software
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem‑solve independently and demonstrate initiative
- Passion for mentoring and developing peers
- New business skills and existing client referral networks
- Accountable for targets aligned with key business drivers
- Real drive/passion to become a Private Wealth Adviser
- Tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Business
- DFP qualified
- FASEA Qualified or working towards this
