Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll assess renewable energy technologies against Australian Standards, helping ensure products entering the market meet stringent technical requirements.
About the role
You'll undertake technical assessments of solar, battery and inverter products submitted by manufacturers seeking accreditation.
Working collaboratively within a supportive engineering team, you'll review technical documentation, interpret standards and deliver high-quality engineering assessments.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract with several junior to senior level opportunities available.
Key responsibilities
- Assess renewable energy products against Australian Standards.
- Review technical submissions and supporting documentation.
- Make technical recommendations regarding product accreditation.
- Manage multiple applications while maintaining assessment quality and turnaround times.
- Liaise with manufacturers regarding technical information where required.
- Senior Engineers will mentor engineers and support complex technical assessments.
About you
You'll possess strong technical knowledge of renewable energy products and understand the Australian Standards governing solar PV, battery storage and inverter technologies.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with solar PV, battery storage and/or inverter technologies.
- Strong technical analysis and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Engineers Australia registration (or eligibility) is highly regarded.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement following an initial onboarding period based in the Melbourne CBD office, with flexibility to split your time between home and the office thereafter.
