About the Role
The Food & Beverage Manager will be instrumental in building a thriving workplace culture that has a robust focus on developing their team. You will manage and support your teams with daily activities and ensure consistent levels of service are met to the highest quality. You will also work closely with the commercial team to formulate the F&B; strategy for the hotel and be the driving force behind our financial results. Specifically, you will be responsible for overseeing operations across Luci, The Douglas Club, Meetings & Events and In Room Dining.
Responsibilities
- Be operationally hands on to manage daily Food and Beverage operations
- A strong customer focused approach to service
- Actively seek feedback and use it to drive continuous improvement
- Lead a team, ensuring that team culture is at the forefront of everything you do
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure synergy between the food, dining and service concept across all outlets
- Understand and own your financials. Be a numbers person and challenge revenue‑driving opportunities through promotions
- Use your knowledge of local trends to collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to plan menus,
and create action plans to achieve financial targets
- Strong communication with the hotel team to ensure success as a wider team
Qualifications
- Experience in management roles across key F&B; services including meeting and events
- Demonstrated success in the Food and Beverage industry, and an ability to meet financial targets
- A service orientated individual who is a passionate food and wine enthusiast, dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear, consistent messaging to all departments
- High-level of market awareness with an entrepreneurial mind
- Prompt and systematic decision‑making skills with analytical power
- Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and resolve conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
- Well‑presented, adaptable, organised and calm personality
