About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Contract & Funding Coordinator to support the administration and coordination of funding agreements, contracts, and reporting requirements across the organisation.
This role plays an significant part in ensuring funding is accurately tracked, documentation is maintained, and reporting obligations are met in a timely and compliant manner.
Working closely with program teams and the finance team, you will assist in monitoring funding activity, maintaining contract records, and supporting the preparation of reports, acquittals, and other compliance documentation required by funding bodies.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with detail, deadlines, and structured processes, and who is confident managing multiple priorities in a busy, purpose-driven environment. Your work will directly support the delivery of essential health and community services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain contracts, funding agreements, and associated documentation
- Monitor funding allocations, expenditure, and reporting requirements across programs
- Support the preparation and submission of funding reports, acquittals, and compliance documentation
- Track contract milestones, obligations, and reporting deadlines
- Assist in monitoring funding activity and identifying variances (e.g. under/over expenditure)
- Maintain accurate records, registers, and systems for all funding and contract activity
- Liaise with internal program teams and external funding bodies to support reporting and compliance
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in contract administration, funding coordination, grants administration, or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Understanding of government or community sector funding processes (highly regarded)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative or reporting systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience in Aboriginal Community Controlled or community-based organisations highly regarded
- A valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
