Due to the recent award of a major long-term road tunnel maintenance contract, 1 Service Group is expanding our Fire Services team.

We are seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician to join our growing business, delivering inspection, testing, maintenance and repair services across some of Sydney's most critical infrastructure assets.

Unlike traditional fire service roles, you won't spend your days testing apartment smoke alarms or unit entry doors. Our technicians work across major road tunnels, rail networks, transport infrastructure and commercial facilities, maintaining a wide range of essential fire protection systems.

This is a full time permanent position offering long-term job security, ongoing training, excellent earning potential through overtime and night works, and genuine career progression within a rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspection, testing and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems
- Fault finding, repairs and defect rectification
- Minor installation and upgrade works
- Servicing a wide range of systems including:
- Fire detection and alarm systems
- Hydrants and hose reels
- Emergency warning and intercom systems
- Completing electronic service reports and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and client requirements
- Liaising professionally with clients and site representatives
- Participating in emergency breakdown response when required

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in the fire protection industry
- Experience servicing fire detection,



suppression or water-based fire systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Current White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in night works and overtime
- Electrical licence or trade qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
