We are seeking an experienced manufacturing professional to fill the role of Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s production operations and supply chain. This is a hands-on role and will include the following responsibilities:

- Scheduling and driving commercial production, including supervision of a small production team
- Recording process performance, including the identification and implementation of efficiency improvements
- Cooperating with quality control, laboratory, logistics, maintenance and sales teams to ensure optimum and on-time production performance
- Ensuring sales orders are completed in full, on time and within product specifications
- Managing inventories and supply chains, including procurement of critical raw materials
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, including those related to quality, valuable housekeeping, and the safety of personnel, plant and equipment





The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in advanced manufacturing or other regulated industry sector with HACCP/GMP operations. This will ideally include practical experience in supervising or undertaking maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment. Project management experience and a tertiary qualification in science, chemistry or biochemical engineering would be looked upon favourably. Knowledge and technical skills developed within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector would be particularly advantageous.

The successful candidate will possess a mature outlook, strong attention to detail, outstanding communication and organisational skills, efficient work practices and a willingness to strive for ongoing improvement. Upholding the highest levels of professionalism is imperative and a willingness to lead by example and work on the production floor is essential. The ability to integrate into - and contribute towards - a small, dynamic and cohesive team is paramount.

The successful applicant will be provided with a stimulating and positive working environment in modern office and manufacturing premises in Cambridge, 15 minutes from the Hobart CBD.

The role of Production Manager is full time, Monday - Friday. Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
