Nebula Contractors Pty Ltd – Wetherill Park NSW

At Nebula Elec, we deliver critical high-voltage infrastructure across NSW data centres, switchyards, tunnels, and work on large scale infrastructure projects. We are growing fast, and because of the high-risk environments we operate in, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality are integrated directly into how we deliver projects.

We are looking for a Senior HSEQ Advisor to step in and take full functional ownership of our compliance systems. This role requires a balance between managing our compliance frameworks in the office and working directly on-site with our field crews. It's a split between system improvement and on site presence, where you will be auditing frameworks one day and driving out to a data centre the next to ensure those systems actually protect our people in the real world.

You will have the professional trust, flexibility, and breathing room to look at our current processes, pitch newer ways of doing things, and implement modern methodologies that make safety smoother for all.

Responsibilities.

Take complete ownership of our management system across ISO 45001 (Safety), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 9001 (Quality) to audit, review, and continuously improve our SWMS, compliance registers, and permits.

Spend regular time in the field and workshops delivering project inductions, leading clear toolbox talks, managing subcontractor HSEQ pre-qualifications, and coaching site supervisors.

Partner with operational leaders to embed risk management into planning and delivery.

Review SWMS and ITPs before high-risk work goes ahead,

and keep our safety documentation in order.

Handle subcontractor HSEQ pre qualification and keep them to our standard on site.

Lead incident investigations through to transparent root-cause resolutions, handle SafeWork NSW or environmental notifications when required, manage return-to-work coordination, and report meaningful safety data directly to the leadership team.

Who we're looking for.

Ideally, you bring experience within the high-voltage, power utilities, or heavy electrical contracting sectors. This specific background is our clear preference, as you will already understand our unique site dynamics. However, if you come from an adjacent high-risk sector such as heavy Infrastructure, Rail, or Tier 1 civil construction - and have exposure to Electrical work, we absolutely want to hear from you.

You will need a solid working knowledge of NSW WHS and Environmental laws, relevant AS/NZS compliance frameworks, a White Card, and a current driver’s licence for site travel. You do not need to be a qualified electrician - our engineers, project managers, and supervisors handle the technical execution. What matters most is that you understand the rhythms of a high-risk project site,

take technical compliance details seriously, and possess the communication skills to know precisely when to pull technical experts into a safety conversation.

Remuneration.

$130,000 – $160,000 + Superannuation (Negotiable based on your experience)

Why Us? We focus on building long-term careers while our leadership team remains actively connected to project delivery, and we work hard to maintain a culture built around quality, trust, and mutual support.

Visible Leadership: We expect you to own your outcomes, have a voice in our safety strategy, and make decisions that protect our people and our business.

Safety Backing: High voltage leaves zero room for error. We practice no-nonsense safety, which means when you look at a high-risk operation and make the call to pause or alter the work, the leadership team explicitly backs your authority.

Autonomy: We are growing fast. If you want a role where you can actively reshape, scale, and modernise our HSEQ management system rather than just auditing stagnant paperwork, this might be what you're looking for.

Collaboration: Our culture is built around genuine site camaraderie and mutual accountability, and our field crews are trained and expect a safety partner who works with them in the field to find practical solutions.

If you want a role where you are genuinely trusted to run your own space, are given the autonomy to introduce fresh ideas, and have your authority respected on-site, we would like to hear from you.
