Nurse Unit Manager - PACU/Admissions/Overnight Ward

Kawana Private Hospital is an accredited, multi-disciplinary day hospital with four operating theatres, delivering a diverse range of surgical services. The hospital operates Monday to Friday only.

About the chance

We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager - PACU/Admissions/Overnight Ward to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.

- Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and procedures.
- Leadership and management ability

- Ongoing commitment to OH&S; and risk management.
- Commitment to the provision of quality and exceptional customer experience
- Developing effective relations with key stakeholders; including CURA, VMO’s and Reps.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the budgeting process regarding human and material resources is desirable
- Promoting and ensuring safe patient care, evidence of previous experience in Quality, and evidence based best practice policy writing

The successful applicant will demonstrate:





- Post graduate qualification nursing and/or working towards a tertiary qualification in management
- 2-5 years in senior nursing or management positions desirable
- Working knowledge of Industrial Relations Acts, regulations and other relevant statutory obligations
- Knowledge of the regulation of health care professionals
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Accreditation
- Understanding of contemporary clinical practice
- Knowledge of the ANMC Competency standards for Registered Nurses
- Knowledge of health funding models and arrangements pertaining to private/public health sectors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
