Due to continued growth across NSW and Queensland, we're expanding our HSEQ team. We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our growing team in Rydalmere. Working alongside our National HSEQ Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting our operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

About the Role

No two days are the same.

This role provides operational HSEQ support across our NSW and Queensland operations while helping maintain and continually improve our Integrated Management System (IMS).

You'll spend your time partnering with operational leaders, supporting injured workers, improving systems, conducting audits,



analysing safety data and ensuring Retro Traffic continues to deliver industry-leading safety outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for:

- Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of our HSEQ Management System.
- Investigating incidents, hazards and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Coordinating Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs.
- Developing and reviewing SWMS, Safe Operating Procedures, toolbox talks and safety communications.
- Conducting internal audits and assisting with external ISO re-certification audits.
- Monitoring corrective actions, NCRs and compliance registers.
- Analysing HSEQ data and preparing meaningful reports for management.
- Supporting site inspections and providing practical safety advice to operational teams.
- Delivering inductions and assisting with HSEQ training initiatives.
- Supporting document control, policy development and continuous improvement projects.
- Building strong working relationships with operational teams, clients and external stakeholders.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships just as much as improving systems.

To be successful you’ll ideally have:

- Experience in an HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor, HSEQ Coordinator or similar position.
- Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
- Experience working within ISO-certified management systems (9001, 14001 and 45001).
- Experience managing Workers Compensation and Return to Work processes.




- Traffic Management experience highly regarded although not essential.
- Strong incident investigation and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Solid organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence working autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team.
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to operational sites when required.
