An exciting opportunity is available for a reliable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join a well-established development and construction group with a long-standing presence across the Sunshine Coast and now the Fraser Coast region.

Walter Iezzi Property Group and Walter Iezzi Building Group have been delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments for over 30 years. Known for our hands-on approach, strong project outcomes and commitment to quality, we are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our site team and assist in the delivery of a landmark multi-residential development on the Fraser Coast.

About the Role

Working as part of our site-based construction team, you will provide general labouring support across a busy multi-residential construction site.

You will assist with a range of day-to-day site activities, including general labouring, site preparation and clean-up, material handling, assisting trades and maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic and is willing to pitch in wherever needed to help keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

This is a casual, site-based position paid at an hourly rate, with regular hours available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general construction labouring duties as directed by site management

Assist trades and subcontractors with day-to-day site activities

Assist with the movement, loading, unloading and distribution of construction materials

Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas throughout the site

Assist with site preparation, clean-up and general housekeeping

Set up and maintain temporary site protection and safety measures as required

Assist with deliveries and the movement of materials around the site

Operate basic hand and power tools where appropriately trained and authorised

Follow all site safety procedures,



SWMS and directions from site management

Identify and report potential safety hazards or site issues

Assist the wider construction team as required to support project milestones and programme requirements

Contribute to a positive site culture focused on safety, teamwork and performance

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

Previous experience working as a Construction Labourer or in a similar role within the building and construction industry

Experience on commercial, multi-residential or large-scale construction sites will be highly regarded

Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade will be highly regarded

A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work

Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labouring duties

A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across a variety of site tasks

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

Positive understanding of construction site safety requirements

Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely

Current Construction White Card

Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport

Full Australian working rights

Additional tickets and licences, including Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant construction tickets, will be highly regarded but are not essential.
