Bendigo

Ongoing, full-time role based in Bendigo.

- * Make a difference in reducing over representation of Aboriginal people in the criminal justice system.
- * Join a supportive and collaborative team.

This is a prioritised role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, who will be given priority consideration as per the special measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.

What You'll Be Doing

- * Delivering meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
- * Creating tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
- * Assessing risk factors and developing individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
- * Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community-based teams on culturally safe and effective approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
- * Building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
- * Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.

About You

- * A proven ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.
- * Robust knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
- * Experience in applying evidence-based case management frameworks,



especially with individuals with complex needs.
- * The ability to apply theory to practice—identifying risk, planning interventions, and supporting behaviour change.
- * A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
