About the role

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Exact Radiology team as an MRI Trainee. This position offers a structured training pathway designed to develop your MRI expertise while gaining experience across our clinics in the Ipswich and Brisbane region.

Please note: Current AHPRA registration as a Radiographer is an essential prerequisite for this role.

As an MRI Trainee, you will be supported through comprehensive, hands-on training while working alongside experienced MRI Radiographers and Medical Imaging professionals. You will develop your technical skills across multiple clinical sites, gaining exposure to a broad range of MRI examinations and patient presentations.

This role provides the opportunity to build your MRI capability within a collaborative, patient-focused environment that values continuous learning and skilled growth.

We're looking for a motivated Radiographer with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in MRI, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. A strong foundation in general radiography, excellent patient care skills,



and a willingness to work across multiple imaging modalities, were appropriately skilled, will be key to your success in this role.

Key accountabilities

- Participate in a structured MRI training program and commit to ongoing learning and development.
- Perform high-quality Radiography examinations while developing MRI skills and competency.
- Provide protected, compassionate, and patient-focused care at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Radiologists, referrers, and clinic teams to deliver productive, high-quality services.
- Show initiative and a willingness to learn new technologies, protocols, and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive team environment that values collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain equipment, complete quality assurance activities, and follow clinical and MRI safety protocols.
- Build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and referrers through professional communication and teamwork.

Background and experience

- Current AHPRA registration and QLD Radiation Licence.
- Tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (or equivalent).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Capacity to assist in interventional procedures.




- Strong attention to detail, technical competence, and a patient centered approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of WHS practices.
