The King's School is seeking a highly organised Boatshed Manager to join our Rowing Program and support the delivery of one of Australia's premier school rowing programs. Reporting to the Director of Rowing and Head Coach, this is a hands-on role responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of the School's boatshed facilities and rowing fleet

This position is ideal for someone with extensive rowing knowledge, strong technical skills and a passion for supporting young people to achieve excellence both on and off the water

Please note, this is a permanent full-time opportunity. Accommodation is provided on site at Putney

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Boatshed Manager serves as the key operational contact at The King's School Boatshed, overseeing equipment, facilities and logistics to ensure the rowing program operates safely and efficiently

- Managing and maintaining the rowing fleet, trailers, motorboats and equipment
- Coordinating repairs, servicing and equipment inventories
- Loading and transporting boats to regattas and camps
- Supporting coaches and assisting with boat rigging and equipment education
- Coordinating rowing camp and regatta logistics
- Supervising student boatshed activities, including sleepovers during peak rowing periods
- Managing boatshed food service operations and liaising with caterers
- Maintaining a safe working workplace for staff and students

Beyond the operational responsibilities of the position, there may be opportunities for broader involvement in program delivery, including coaching and athlete development, depending on the successful applicant's skills,

- Thorough knowledge of rowing equipment, shell rigging and boat maintenance
- Experience loading and transporting rowing boats
- Knowledge of NSW and ACT boating regulations
- Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

- The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
- A current NSW Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
