About Isis Central Sugar Mill

Today, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase. Under a renewed executive team, Isis is strengthening its leadership capability, modernising systems and processes, and evolving its operating model to support long-term sustainability, improved collaboration and future growth. This includes enhancing corporate services, investing in new business systems and technology, and creating stronger partnerships between support functions and the broader business.

As part of this evolution, Isis is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Corporate Services team based in Childers. This newly created position offers the opportunity to help shape a contemporary finance function while contributing to the future direction of one of Queensland's most established regional manufacturers.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will play an important role in the continued development of the organisation's finance capability.

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance while working closely with leaders across the organisation to provide commercial insight and support informed decision making.

This is far more than a traditional financial reporting role. As Isis continues to strengthen its systems, processes and corporate services capability, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial governance,



streamline processes and contribute to the implementation of new business systems and initiatives that enhance efficiency, collaboration and organisational performance.

Working closely with the CFO, you’ll also help shape a finance function that is increasingly focused on business partnering, continuous improvement and enabling better business outcomes through practical systems, sound financial stewardship and commercial insight.

You’ll also provide leadership and mentoring to a small team, building capability within the finance team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing financial and management reporting.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
- Managing statutory reporting, compliance and external audit requirements.
- Strengthening financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
- Building strong business partnerships across the organisation.
- Supporting the implementation of new business systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring and developing a small team
- Contributing to broader organisational improvement and Corporate Services initiatives.

About you

You are a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting capability and a desire to contribute beyond the numbers.





This opportunity is likely to appeal to an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Assistant Finance Manager looking to step into a broader Finance Manager role. You may also be a Finance Manager within a smaller organisation seeking greater organisational exposure and the opportunity to influence business improvement initiatives.

Beyond your technical capability, you’re collaborative, commercially minded and naturally curious. You enjoy building relationships, improving processes and partnering with stakeholders to help drive better business outcomes. You’re comfortable operating in a changing environment and motivated by the opportunity to help shape how finance supports the organisation into the future.

Experience within manufacturing, industrial, agricultural or other asset-intensive environments will be well regarded, however candidates from a range of sectors with strong technical capability are encouraged to apply.
