We are seeking motivated and reliable Environmental Contractors to join our team, we are an expanding small business located at the bottom of the mid north that work alongside government agencies including councils, landscape boards, private landholders and heritage listed vegetation.
We prioritize protecting and establishing native vegetation throughout the Mid North/ Adelaide Plains, Yorke Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and various sites throughout South Australia.
Our works include Revegetation projects, control of invasive environmental and agricultural weed species in some remote environmental settings using a range of techniques including brush cutting, chain sawing and spot spraying.
About the Role
The successful applicant will undertake a range of environmental works, including:
- Chainsaw operations for vegetation management and habitat restoration.
- Herbicide spraying and weed control amongst native vegetation.
- Native vegetation management and ecological restoration.
- General bushland maintenance and environmental project work.
- Working safely in remote and challenging outdoor environments.
Essential Requirements
- Current driver's licence.
- Robust commitment to workplace safety and environmental best practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and ability to adjust to various situations
Desirable
- Experience in bush regeneration or native vegetation management
- Current Chainsaw Competency/ license (or equivalent).
- Chemical User Accreditation (ACUP/ChemCert or equivalent).
- 4WD experience.
- First Aid certificate.
- Traffic Management accreditation.
- Experience identifying native plants and environmental weeds.
