About the Role
As a Catering Assistant at RSL LifeCare, every day you're empowered to make a meaningful difference to people's lives. Within our supportive work environment your compassion is valued and your professional development is prioritised. You will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
- Comply with Food Safety Standards
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work setting; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
- Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
- Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
- Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

About You
- Your demonstrated compassion and empathy. Our teams have a passion for what they do and the impact they make to our residents and their families. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork
- Your teamwork. We enjoy working together with a highly skilled team to deliver the best possible experience for our residents and support each other. Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Qualifications in catering and hospitality or related work experience are beneficial but not essential. We can help you learn and develop in the role. Australian
Working Rights and Background Checks
It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
