Numbers Executive is partnering with a large-cap ASX-listed business that owns and operates long-life, regulated infrastructure assets critical to Australia's energy supply.
With a strong growth agenda and an active transaction pipeline, the Corporate Development team plays a central role in identifying, assessing and executing acquisitions, divestments and strategic investments that support long-term shareholder value creation.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development and mentoring a small team of Analysts, the Manager, Corporate Development will play a leading role in the assessment, execution and delivery of complex M&A; transactions across the energy infrastructure sector.

The successful candidate will take ownership of transactions from initial prospect assessment and Investment Committee approval through to due diligence, valuation, negotiation and completion.
Working across multiple concurrent projects, you will manage advisers, coordinate internal stakeholders and drive transaction processes to successful outcomes. Beyond M&A; activity, the role will contribute to broader strategic initiatives and capital allocation decisions across the business.
Required skills & experience
We are seeking an accomplished corporate finance skilled with a strong track record of executing transactions from inception through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have gained experience within investment banking, corporate advisory or a high-performing corporate development environment and be comfortable leading complex workstreams across live transactions.
You will bring:
- 10+ years' experience in investment banking, corporate advisory or corporate development
- Demonstrated M&A; transaction experience
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation capability
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive outcomes across multiple workstreams
- Experience managing advisers, consultants and senior internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of materials for Executive and Board-level audiences
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Law
- CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualifications will be highly regarded
Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy or other asset-intensive sectors will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
