The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Precast Concrete Estimator to lead the estimating process and manage tenders. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, ensuring that all client requirements are met, and managing the tender process from start to finish.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a can‑do attitude. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients, taking the lead in guiding projects from quote preparation through to completion.
The role also requires you to operate with minimal supervision and to provide leadership and direction to the estimating team as needed. You’ll need to be proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of estimates and quotes for precast concrete elements.
- Manage the full tender process,
from quote preparation to project completion.
- Work closely with clients to ensure their needs are fully understood and met.
- Review and flag any concerns in project specifications.
- Ensure timely, accurate delivery of estimates.
- Handle variations and changes as they arise during the project.
- Lead and direct the estimating team when needed.
- Operate independently while managing your own workload.
- Provide problem‑solving support throughout the estimating and tendering process.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar estimating role (precast concrete preferred).
- Strong ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
- Familiarity with estimating software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam etc.) is a plus.
- Solid problem‑solving, investigative, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to guide and support others.
- Excellent time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Must have full working rights within Australia.
