Join the dynamic team at JD Built Byron Bay Pty Ltd as a subcontracted Carpenter. This exciting role will see you working between Ballina and the Gold Coast and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-quality residential projects in a close-knit team.

Key responsibilities

Construct and install various timber structures including walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows

Fabricate, install and finish custom cabinetry and joinery

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate work

Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently

Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed to a high standard

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry qualification such as a Certificate III in Carpentry

Demonstrated experience as a carpenter, ideally in the construction or cabinet making industries

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills





Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Strong time management and organisational skills

Commitment to workplace health and safety

You will also need:

A valid driver's license and your own Ute or Van (complete with tools).

A Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)

Insurance

Valid Contractor Licence

Preferred contractor operating as a Company/Pty Ltd

A proactive and reliable approach to work.
