About the Role
Our client is a large national transport company seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operators to join their busy Karawatha depot.
Working in a fast-paced linehaul environment, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers, staging freight for dispatch, and ensuring freight is handled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading linehaul trucks
- Staging, sorting and moving freight within the depot
- Scanning and checking freight where required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Completing pre-start forklift inspections
- Following safe work procedures and site policies
- Working effectively as part of a busy operations team
- Assisting with general warehouse and depot duties as required
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Current LF Forklift Licence (essential)
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a busy transport or freight depot
- Experience loading and unloading linehaul trailers
- Ability to work safely in a quick-paced environment
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
