Drive Process Improvement | Broad Finance Exposure

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team in a newly enhanced role that offers far more than traditional AP responsibilities.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, leveraging technology, and helping finance functions operate more efficiently. You'll play a key role in strengthening accounts payable operations while also gaining exposure to accounts receivable processes and broader finance initiatives.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the AP Manager and working in a small team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function for your portfolio, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and system optimisation.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo and implementing smarter ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable function for your portfolio
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve account queries
- Perform reconciliations and support month‑end close activities
- Identify and implement AP process improvements and efficiencies




- Support finance system upgrades, integrations, and technology initiatives
- Assist with the implementation and optimisation of automation tools and workflows
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to improve controls and reporting
- Provide support and cross‑training across accounts receivable processes when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the finance function

About You

- Proven experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes and controls
- Systems‑savvy with experience working across ERP or finance platforms
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements, automation, or system enhancements
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
