We are looking for a reliable Vibe Operator who's good on the gear, comfortable working outdoors, and takes pride in doing things properly. You’ll be operating Vibroseis trucks and other plant across government, gas and coal leases, helping deliver seismic projects for major clients. Work locations vary by project and may include agricultural land, regional areas and resource‑sector leases.
If you like practical work, different scenery every day, and a job where you can actually see the results of what you do, you’ll fit right in. You’ll also have the chance to build skills across multiple types of equipment - truck driving, Vibroseis buggies, tractors and skid steers.
The Job
- Operate and manoeuvre Vibroseis trucks using GPS navigation
- Carry out vibration sweeps safely and in line with project procedures
- Support field operations with equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Jump into other duties when required - heavy haulage, line crew tasks, general field support
- Communicate clearly with the crew, both face‑to‑face and over two‑way radio
- Commit to extended periods away from home 2-3 week swings
What You’ll Bring
- MR/HR license (essential)
- Experience operating heavy vehicles or plant (civil, mining, ag or transport)
- Good fitness - the role mixes machine operation with physical field work
- Solid situational awareness and commitment to safe work
- A positive, team‑first attitude and willingness to travel
- Ability to follow procedures and work well in a structured field environment
