About the Roles

Trainee Educators

Perfect for candidates looking to start a rewarding career in Early Childhood Education. You will gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification,



supported by experienced mentors and a dedicated team.

Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning experiences for children while fostering positive relationships with families and colleagues.

Play a key role in delivering high-quality educational programs, mentoring team members, and supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the National Quality Framework.

We offer a competitive salary package, with remuneration determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications.

About You

We're looking for people who:

Have a genuine passion for working with young children.

Are committed to providing high‑quality education and care.

Bring a warm, positive, and collaborative approach to their work.

Demonstrate solid communication skills and a commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Hold, or are willing to obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration (ACT) or Working with Children Check (NSW).

Additionally:

For Trainee Educators

No prior qualifications are required.

A willingness to undertake and complete a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards completion.





Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards completion.

Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Requirements

All YWCA Canberra employees must hold and maintain a valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration for the duration of their employment. We operate under a strict "No Card, No Start" policy, which means this clearance must be obtained before commencing employment.
