Most Geotechnical Engineers spend their career on a mine site, with a consultancy, or working a roster on a client's schedule. This one's different. Our client supplies ground support and geotechnical products into underground mining operations, and they've built a name on getting the engineering right, not just supplying product.

If you're a Geotech looking for a change from site life, this role gives you technical ownership across the full ground support lifecycle, QA/QC, pull testing, product research and development, without the roster. Monday to Friday, normal daytime hours, no FIFO or DIDO.

They're after an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to take the reins on ground support engineering across the business. If your background covers the full lifecycle of ground support systems rather than just one corner of it, this one's for you.

What you'll be doing

You’ll manage all QA/QC ground support documentation, both internal and external, and coordinate and oversee ground support trials from start to finish. You’ll lead the testing, evaluation, and research of new ground support products, and run the pull testing program end to end, including responsibility for pull test reports and calibration of testing equipment.

On the technical side, you’ll conduct ventilation calculations and support ventilation trials, and provide technical recommendations on ground support products to make sure they suit site ground conditions.



You’ll also coordinate factory testing and quality verification of products, manage transport and storage requirements for ground support materials, and prepare and maintain product bulletins and release documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll need

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geo Sciences
- Experience in a mine site Technical Services team, with solid geotechnical knowledge
- Current driver's licence
- Solid analytical and numerical reasoning skills, comfortable interpreting data and presenting findings clearly
- Confident with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience across the full product development lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and stakeholders
- A thorough, detail-focused approach, particularly when it comes to QA/QC and compliance
