Position Available: MSP TRADERS PTY LTD (Fish Stop Douglas) is seeking dedicated FULL-TIME Kitchenhands to join our team. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will assist the culinary team with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, wash dishes and utensils, and support smooth back-of-house operations to ensure timely service for all guests.

Responsibilities

- Load pre-portioned fish, calamari, chips and other frozen items into fryer baskets and monitor cooking times.
- Assemble and pack takeaway orders accurately – match dockets for single packs,



family meals and delivery platform orders (Uber Eats / DoorDash).
- Restock fryer stations with pre-prepared frozen stock – fish fillets, calamari rings, chips and sauces from fridge/freezer.
- Set up kitchen stations before service – turn on fryers, arrange packaging and prepare the service area.
- Clean down after service – filter the oil, wash the fryer baskets, wipe the benches, empty the crumb trays, and dispose of the waste.
- Monitor front counter supplies – refill sauce sachets, drink fridges and takeaway containers.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards – oil temperature checks, storage rotation and proper handling of cooked food.

Requirements

- Certificate I or Compulsory Secondary Education
- at least two (2) years of relevant full-time work experience taken in the last five (5) years.
- Hardworking, reliable, and follows hygiene standards.
