Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships is seeking a motivated Apprentice Parts Interpreter to join our host employer based in Smithfield, NSW.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry. You'll earn while you learn, complete a nationally recognised qualification, and gain hands‑on experience working alongside skilled industry professionals in a supportive workshop environment.
The Role
As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter, you will learn how to identify, source, and manage parts for heavy vehicles, transmissions, and related components while supporting day-to-day workshop operations.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll develop valuable technical knowledge and customer service skills while gaining exposure to a wide range of trucks, machinery, and mechanical systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with identifying and ordering parts for heavy vehicles and transmission systems
- Learning parts catalogues, systems, and inventory processes
- Supporting workshop operations and technicians
- Developing strong product knowledge and industry skills
- Providing skilled customer service and support
