About the role

We are seeking a Sales Team Member to join our dynamic team at our Waterloo NSW location. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility alongside the opportunity to develop your sales skills in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Sales Team Member, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales by helping customers discover the ideal lounge solutions for their homes. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for outstanding service and achieving our sales targets.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and identifying their needs through active listening and consultative questioning
- Showcasing our range of lounges and seating options, highlighting key features, benefits and quality
- Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations tailored to individual customer preferences and budgets
- Assisting customers through the sales process, including demonstrations and product comparisons
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing showroom environment
- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals




- Collaborating with team members to achieve individual and team sales targets
- Staying informed about current promotions, new products and industry trends
- Handling customer enquiries and concerns professionally and resolving issues promptly

What we're looking for

- Proven sales experience in retail or customer-facing roles, preferably in furniture or home goods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
- Enthusiastic, customer-focused attitude with a genuine passion for helping people find the right products
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also performing independently
- Numeracy skills and accuracy when handling transactions and processing sales
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to a part-time schedule
- Neat personal presentation and professional demeanour
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn
- A valid driver's license is preferred
