Do you possess 5+ years in a management role as a Quality representative that has a strong background in manufacturing? If so, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager, that can lead the audit processes, both internal and external (ISO 9001) quality systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role is responsible for maintaining and implementing Austworlds Product Quality System.

To ensure quality deliverables are fulfilled, Quality Management principles are required to support the implementation of appropriate statistical process controls. Communication across various heads of departments and with suppliers is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity that has arisen due to our current incumbent repatriating to China. The role is permanent, full-time, based at our Head Office, located in Qld’s Gold Coast, and will also require some international travel to the manufacturing facility located in China.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working with a small team of quality inspectors and engineers, control stock inspection & approval process prior to goods leaving the manufacturing site.
- Set up project QA system for new products and projects
- Report/log & follow up transmittals, audit schedule & reports, CARs, NCRs, RFIs, TQs
- Improve product quality and manage product modification/engineering changes market purposes,



ensuring the correct testing methodologies are implemented for accurate data generation
- Report on quality feedback received from sales team members
- Support current product development from design stage to implement correct standards and Processes
- Managing Product Quality Warranty rate to meet the Austworlds warranty specifications
- Containment action plans
- Maintaining product compliance (Wels, Watermark, Water authorities)
- Generating and maintaining quality documentation, including control plans and sample plans
- Conducting technical investigations, testing, statistical analysis and report writing
- Lead inter-department communication including logging customer claims through to resolution
- Working with suppliers for shipment and quality improvement program
- Determine root cause of quality issues found in the manufacturing processes, shipment inspection process, etc
- Support service team on product related questions and solutions

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical knowledge essential)
- Experience in Team Binder, Aconex, Oracle, In Cite, Lotus Notes, Livelink, QEDI, CCMS, etc
- Plumbing industry and tapware experience, or a similar industry within manufacturing is highly regarded
- A healthy level of optimism and resilience
- Black belt or Green belt sigma 6 is highly regarded
